Default Band Bio-pics you'd like to see made.

With the upcoming Runaways release, there's been some speculation on whether their story is truly worthy of being immortalized on celluloid. Personally I'd love to see flicks made about.....

    VH
    Rush
    AC/DC
    Aerosmith
    The Kinks
    GnR
Def Leppard (something a little more gritty than that VH1 flick from about ten years ago)
    The Pretenders
    The Police
    Jefferson Airplane/Starship
    LowLifeFlatHeadScum

Exactly! I thought the same thing just the other day. I'm surprised it hasn't been done because of all the drama. But then I thought maybe its because the band was pretty vocal about it and everyone knows...
However, I'd like to see one that shows the drugs and touring in the late 70s, and then the toll it took on everyone a few years later into the 80s up until Lindsey split the first time.

I'd also like to see a Cheap Trick movie!

    hehe

    Actually
Zeppelin, ACDC, and VH would be cool.
Often these things suck though. I do enjoy the biography type shows on a band though, with interviews old footage and all that. The other day on some channel they had some newish thing on The Who and heard a lot I didn't know. When Roger first saw Pete he said he looked like a nose on a stick. lol

I remember some talk a few years back about a Robert Johnson biography with none less than Prince taking the lead role. Don't know what happened though.

That is one film I would love to see.

Best musician bio I have ever seen is Clint Eastwood's "Bird". Charlie Parker's life was pretty much made for the screen and Forest Whittaker was mesmerising in the role, as was Lorraine Bracco as his wife. If you haven't seen it, it is an absolute must, even if you don't like Jazz music.

You can probably do one on most bands since they are filled with so much drama.

I think Metal Sludge used to have a picture on their site of AIC back when they were all hair metaled up.

    Funny picture.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Whatever happened to the Keith Moon flick that was supposed to be coming out? I heard Mike Myers was going to be playing the lead in that one a couple of years ago.

    Interview with Daltrey from Oct.

WW: Speaking of Keith, you're listed on some websites as a producer on the film about him that Mike Meyers has been wanting to make.

RD: I can't get a script that works. I've kind of reined it in right now, because I'm into other things. But one day, I'll get it done. It's probably a script I have to write, and I'm a bit insecure about that. But maybe someday.

WW: How many scripts have come through so far?

RD: We're probably on number ten or eleven (laughs). But it's such a difficult subject.

WW: You'd want a movie to deal with his exuberance, but you'd also want to deal with some of the more serious things that happened to him.

RD: Yeah. It can't be all carry-on Keith, can it? It's a tricky one.

that's the key there - if you're going to make THE Van Halen movie, whose story are you going to base it on?!?

Rumours era Fleetwood Mac would be good

The Go-Gos, perhaps - if there's lots of gratuitous nudity!

The Rolling Stones - though they might need a mini-series!

    '70s KISS maybe
