    Default NUNO SELLING AN EVH

Wow talk about turning a profit. Nuno is selling an EBMM Gold EVH which was given to his wife after a concert by Eddie as it states, he is thining his herd. Now they only made 26 Gold EVHs and Eddie and Nuno both played it but $30,000 is kind of crazy. I also feel if VH gave it as a gift it dont look right to sell it on ebay. I mean I doubt he's broke.

    Wolf

If I was Nuno, I would consider gifting it to Wolfy. Keep it within the family as a act of good faith. Ebaying a gift seems a bit cheesy, but it is the holiday season.

I'm pretty sure Suze plays this guitar in one of B.A. film clips. I can't remember which one though. I've got it here somewhere. I've also got footage of her and Dave (her guitar player in BA) using it at a few gigs.

Cool Guitar, but $30,000 is a bit much. I'm surprised that Nuno is letting her get rid of it.

Folks are paying $25k for the Frankie replica ...
    * 300 made vs. 26 made (EVH Goldtop)
    * Frankie quality and playability vs. EBMM (no comparison IMO)
    * EVH "replica" vs. EVH owned, played, and toured EBMM.

I agree, $30k is a bit steep for my pockets too, but for those with that kind of cash, I believe it to be a much wiser investment. Not to mention the EBMM blows the doors off those Fender replicas in terms of quality, sound, and playability.

I think it is pretty tacky myself unless he really needs the money. Maybe part of the reason why he is touring with Rihanna? Anyway considering who gave it to him, he should probably reconsider. Heck if it is for the money, he should give 30 guitar lessons at $1000 per pop. I am sure there are rich enough guys out there who would love a chance of jamming with Nuno for an hour.

Even at a limited 300 pieces being made by Fender of the Frankie replica, it will NEVER command the price of a rare EBMM that was one of only 26 ever produced, and owned by EVH himself with documentation.
It's not a guitar you're going to buy and flip for a profit at $30k, but for those serious collectors, it may not be a bad piece to buy and hold onto.

Well there is no doubt about it now as I went on the EBMM forum and they put it up there and Sterling Ball said he was there when Eddie gave Suze the Gold top and he gave the rest of the band a EVH. You cannot get more authentication than that.

If you go on Gbase a guy has been trying to sell one for the longest, asking $9,000 for a guitar that has dents , dings, stress cracks in the neck joint and rusting on the pups, though the guitar does not look as bad as it is described. If this sells it might help his cause.

I guess we all are interested to see if this sells. Well lets face it I would say the day Vanhalens first album came out gave birth to the second vintage guitar market as Fenders and Gibsons gave way to Kramers, Charvels, Jacksons, Ibanez, Deans, EBMM, Peavey Wolfgangs and a host of others and that was 32 years ago.

I do not think there will ever be a vintage market that even comes close to the first one. But one day as sure as God made lil green apples some of those axes are going to have a nice price tag on them.
