One of my bands is a Bon Jovi tribute (which is wholly ironic as I own zero Bon Jovi records)......and I've gotta say I would never ever buy that guitar. For the quinessential American Rock Band (as I'm sure Jon would like to be known as) I am amazed Richie's playing a Japanese guitar!
Ed: Actually, the last record I bought was by a band called Brand X
Al: I make my living by viciously attacking something
    Mike: ...actually I don't drink.
    Sammy: Are these yours Eddie?
Dave: Look at that ankle - dirty girl!

What was Ritchie smoking when he designed that guitar? It had to be really, really good to come up with such a fugly shape.

That is one epic fail of a guitar design. I mean, ignoring the aweful body, just focus on the headstock!

His guitars of that design are not from Japan, and he didn't design it. They are custom made for him by his guitar tech using the highest quality material, I'm sure.... Now, the signature line may be made in Japan, that wouldn't shock me at all, but not his. I'd actually like to add a signature Sambora guitar to my collection, and since the Kramer and Fender models are rather rare, this is on my radar.

His Kramers were from the US......my Kramer is an ESP as were many of the consumer models........As he left Kramer nearly 20 years ago it hardly seems relevant. Since then he's been Fender and Gibson..........feel free to correct me - I'm hardly a massive fan...we only do a Bon Jovi tribute as by default lots of women come to watch LOL! ;O)

Not to burst your bubble..but kramer NEVER made guitars in the US...it was either Quebec or Japan.they were ONLY partially assembled in the US...but never produced there.

That's not true. Most Kramers were fully assembled in the US, most parts were manufactured in Japan. And in the early 80's, most parts were made in the US, by the mid 80's Kramer got most of its parts from Japan.

And all of the pictures you've seen of Ed building his Kramers, were in the Neptune, NJ plant where absolutely they produced parts, bodies, and necks.

So you're not being accurate, not sure where you are getting your info from.

Floyd Rose built a few of these for Ritche in his Seattle shop before I started working there. They were built with the Speedloader double ball end string bridge. Floyd also built some stuf for neil shon. They are all old buddies from the biz !

Yup, that's absolutely right, Neptune, NJ made the majority of the sought after Kramer guitars that people still want today..... It's a shame they sold out to Gibson.
