Default Coming November 25, 2009: Ninja Assassin

The trailer for this film started showing up on television a while back, but really reached a saturation point over the weekend. From what I can tell this looks pretty cool, yet even on tv the image was/is incredibly murky. So to view this clip, your best bet is the HD option. Even then, it's still needlessly dark.

The plot is essentially one that has been done countless times in martial arts movies, about a guy that has to deal with a clan he is no longer a part of.

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

I'll pass. I hate karate/ninja type movies. I've never been able to get into them. My brother on the other hand, will eat this shit up.

I love these kind of movies. I saw an extended preview and mini-doc a few weeks back when The Wife and I went to the movies. The director said he didn't want to use a lot of CGI or wires for the fight scenes ala The Matrix or Crouching Tiger and that all the fight scenes are done by actual martial artists and gymnasts. That, in and of itself, got me really excited about this movie.
    Stay out of it, dude.

it looks pretty interesting, i also love the kung fu/ninja genre of movies, i do however miss the days when Jackie Chan did all his own stunts and they didn't use cgi....thats when they earned their money and the movies were somewhat more believeable.

This movie has been done five gazillion times, and since I am not a big fan of these movies to begin with, I'll pass.

Same with disaster movies...2012, no thanks. Now, if it was 2112 it would be a different story!
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!
