I got this from HitsDailyDouble

Don't know how legit this is yet, but their rumors usually pan out.
Here it is:

SAM & DAVE: High profile manager Irving Azoff
has secured the Sam and Dave show, a tour that
will feature former Van Halen vocalists David Lee
Roth and Sammy Hagar performing with their
respective bands, sources said. Meanwhile,
wonderers wondering if Van Halen is attempting to
recruit Ozzy Osbourne to play some role in their
upcoming touring plans. (3/18a)

Interesting.... but why would Ozzy wanna participate in Van Halen's tour plans?!

It's not like Ozzy wasn't busy enough.

He has a nicely working solo career, he is back in Black Sabbath and he also has his own TV show.

I think the Ozzy part is supposed to be a joke (I hope).

How about this for a scenario;

Sammy and the Waboritas play all Sammy solo material for an hour.
The DLR Band plays Dave solo material for an hour.

Then......

The 2 come on stage with a NEW back up band called Van Halen and play for 2 more hours.

Actually, Sabbath is no more. They were having trouble writing a new record and decided to pull the plug after a year with no results.

And Ed said himself that he has 2-3 albums worth of material but no singer.

I think Van Halen's first major tour was opening for Black Sabbath wasn't it?

I can see VH trying to get a slot on the highly successful Ozzfest tour! They would need the exposure...especially if they use a new singer or trio it away!!

Eddie also said that VDIII was a good album. And any material he wrote without Dave or at least Sammy present would be as bad, if not worse as VDIII.

Out of those "2-3 albums worth of material", I would guess that, if Eddie ever pulled his head out of his ass long enough, he and Dave could salvage 1/2 an album from the material.
