Default The E! True Hollywood Story: Valerie Bertinelli

For those yearning for even the most tangentially VH related info, this show premiered last night on the "E" channel. I somehow missed it, choosing to watch Man Vs Food, The World Series and a Myth Busters rerun about raising a sunken boat with ping pong balls.

Here are the future air dates for what must no doubt be riveting, must-see television. All times are EST.

    Friday 11/6 6:00-7:00 PM
    Saturday 11/7 12:00-1:00 PM
    Sunday 11/8 1:00-2:00 PM
    Tuesday 11/10 1:00-2:00 PM
    Monday 11/16 11:00-12:00 PM
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

So glad you brought this up. I stumbled onto this from the beginning last night and couldn't turn it off. Val was incredibly open about their coke use together and the fact that the marriage was in the shits as early as 1983/84. I learned a lot of shit I never knew.

I thought this was something old and assumed everyone here had seen it. If you haven't then I definitely say it's a must-see. It is really good.

VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

On the BIO channel a few nights ago they ran what appeared to be a years-old run down on the career of Val and of course a good deal of it dealt with her marriage to Ed. one of the things though I found a bit annoying if not somewhat inaccurate was the constant referral to Ed as the "Ultimate Rock and Roll Bad Boy".

It made for good sound bites, when mentioned as a direct contrast to the sweet and wholesome girl from "One Day At a Time" but I kept asking myself why the writers of the piece fell so much in love with that description of Ed. They made it sound as if Val had married Dave...or Ozzy.

As much dark territory as Ed has walked, I never thought of him as a "bad boy" at all. As far as I know he's never been arrested or gotten in fights during his shows. Never refused to go on stage....again, as far as I know.

    Troubled? Indeed. Bad boy? Huh?

Yeah...that would be like "Michael Anthony: one of rock's greatest frontmen."

I watched it like 3 months ago. Where have y'all been at?? It was nothing new, no big surprises or nothin, if you keep up with Ed...., but I will say that I completely agree with LL. The referrals of Ed being "The Ultimate Rock n Roll bad guy"...er whatever it was, kinda pissed me off. I was like "What?? Ed?? Bad?? Tough??"......Idiots! They don't know jack shit (and before I get hell over saying that, I'd like to say that Yes, dammit! I KNOW what kind of person he is...DAMMIT!! )......I was thinkin 'K, are they getting Eddie Van Halen confused with Seth Binzer or somethin???'

agreed, If they were talking about Heather Locklear and Tommy Lee, I'd go , OK I'll accept that to a point, but Eddie? aside from the gun thing at the airport, (and I kinda believe he just wasn't thinking straight on that one), most of Eddie's stuff is self distructive, or frat boy antics taken to the nth level, but "Ultimate" bad boy? Somewhere Iggy Pop, Axel Rose, Ozzy and a host of others are sitting back and thinking about what that must make them....if Eddie is the ultimate bad boy, then they must be the anti Christ.
