    Default Emerson, Lake and Palmer

Mean Fiddler and Classic Rock Magazine are proud to announce that Emerson
Lake and Palmer (ELP) will be reforming to bring the inaugural High
    Voltage festival to a close.

Forty years after ELP opened the legendary Isle Of Wight Festival in 1970,
what better act to celebrate Britain's biggest and best Adult Rock
    Festival.

Fans can expect 'Cannons, Pyrotechnics and a supreme production alongside
the stunning musicianship and songs that made ELP the legends they truly
    are.

COOL!!! Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends!!!
Will love to see footage of that show.....

ELP was my 1st live concert EVER, when I was just a little punk kid. We got this "older" chick that had a car/license to take us.....

Freakin great show! I just really had no clue how great those 3 were as musicians at the time...

funny, i was going to start a thread for them....

right now i am listening to Brain Salad Surgery.....

from what i hear on another messageboard i frequent, they may not be touring next year, since i believe Carl will be busy......( i forget who was busy next year) and who was it, Emerson? had a wrist injury/issue....(again, i forget who it was)
but hey....some of us can dream.
i've seen Carl with Asia twice, both times, i was blown away by the size of his talant...

ELP fans might be interested in this rarity.

(there was a video made for this track, but it was too lame for words - so I posted this instead)

Yeah, heard that. RIP, it seems rockers are dropping like flies.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Another rocker departs. RIP Keith.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

    Lemmy
    David Bowie
    Paul Kantner
    Glenn Frey
    Maurice White
Brian Johnson can't perform with AC/DC
    George Martin
    Keith Emerson

Then I found even more: Jimmy Bain (Dio), Robert Stigwood (Cream and Bee Gees manager).

Either I need to start listening to younger bands, or switch to a genre where the performers are having better longevity.

This is creepy. Just remembered this lyric to ELP's "Lucky Man"

A bullet had found him, his blood ran as he cried
No money could save him, so he laid down and died
