Default Is there a VH Fanzine that still exists?

I'm missing the old days of "The Inside" something bad. I know theres no real news to tell, but man....that mag had some great stories in it. I got every issue. Is there still a fanzine out there somewhere? I was thinking of doing a fanzine in the early 90's. I put an add in a local music collecter mag called "It", but got no feedback at all. I had the time to do it then too......A fanzine could still work. Just fill it up with great stories, clippings, pics.

You should have, because they are pretty much obsolete now.

Not too much to write on regarding VH's current status, but there's plenty from the 20+ years when they were an active band.

Hard to have a fanzine when all you can put on the cover is Ed in a Payless advertisement for his (still new!) striped shoes.

Yeah...not much to talk about in VH camp since 1999...

What do you mean no news?

We have the VH photo shop contest. Mike being a class act. Ed taking a crap on 2 and a half men, EVH sneakers, and 1 subject titled "Sammy's Ghost Story Proof of Satan." I didn't read that one yet, but I'm sure it is incredible.
    Right here I say....

The Inside was a great fan magazine. When he discontinued it, Jeff Hausman said the costs and time were just too great to keep going. He had VH's official endorsement for a while, though. Of course Jeff still runs VanHalenStore.com and VHND.com--and VHND.com is kind of what The Inside was, except online.

When VH adopted the "no news is good news" policy, it pretty much meant "The Inside" received a death sentence.

Print media is on it's death bed...

You could start a blog... but as others have mentioned there's no news and you'd just be competing with a half dozen fan sites like this one and the VHND...

Sad because all the original members of VH are still alive and have the potential to further their trade... But the reality is they're not much more interesting/productive in the Rock Music news world than Jimi Hendrix... who almost 40 years since his death is producing about as much news and product as Van Halen... actually more. Ironic..?

I'd LOVE to have all the issues of "The Inside". I don't have ANY! I always meant to order them but by the time I got around to doing it, a lot of them were out of print so I didn't bother. I'm one of those people that "collect" so if I can't complete my "collection" then... well you know. And, i'd rather just get them all at once instead of a few at a time.

Maybe someone will sell their collection of all issues one day and i'll be in business : )

Hmmm... maybe I should go ahead and buy the ones I can and just be patient? That's a difficult task for this weirdo.

I loved The Inside magazines too. I miss them too. I enjoyed reading them with a nice cup of hot coco in the winter, all curled up under the covers. I really love the history of what was Van Halen, so I'm a sucker for the past interviews and such. So yeah...someone make a new version! I'll buy it.

The Inside rocked. It was well adapted to that period of VH.

Van Halen is not Internet friendly. Too much drama, not enough real news. Wish we could go back to those days.
