    Default Bank Robbery - Bruckheimer-Style

Helicopter used in cash depot heist
    (UKPA) – 5 days ago

Robbers have used a stolen helicopter and explosives to engineer a spectacular raid on a cash depot in Stockholm, breaking into the building through the roof and flying off with bags of cash, police have said.

The daring pre-dawn heist stunned police in the Swedish capital, who were unable to deploy their own helicopters to the scene because suspected explosives had been placed at their hangar.

The security company that owns the facility, G4S PLC, said the thieves had made off with "an unconfirmed sum of money" and added it would offer a large reward for information leading to their arrest and the return of the loot.

The robbers flew over the building, jumped onto its roof and smashed a window to enter the cash depot, police spokeswoman Ulrika Lonngren told broadcaster SVT. There were staff inside the building, but no one was injured, she said.

Witnesses reported hearing loud bangs during the heist. G4S said in a statement that the robbers had used explosives during the heist, but did not elaborate.

Witness Bjorn Lockstrom told broadcaster TV4 he saw a gray helicopter hovering above the building for about 15 minutes.

"Two men hoisted themselves down," he said. "I saw when they hoisted up money, too."

A police Swat team was seen desperately trying to enter the cash depot in the Vastberga neighbourhood with a battering ram.

Police later found an abandoned helicopter near a lake north of Stockholm, about 15 miles from the cash depot. Police spokeswoman Towe Hagg said the chopper was reported stolen and was believed to be the one used by the robbers.

Britain-based G4S PLC is one of the world's largest security companies. The Vastberga facility stores cash that is transported to banks and other businesses in Sweden. G4s declined to say how much money was in the cash depot when it was attacked

Stockholm, Sweden - They operate in front of the powerless officers
(WAPA) - A stealing assembled in a perfect manner with minimal particulars that practised this morning in the early morning in the cash deposit of the vigilance institute G4S in Vastberga, near Stockholm.

A helicopter, perhaps an AB-206 Jet Ranger, has landed at 4:00am on the building's roof that hosts the Institute; at least two people lowered with ropes and breaking glass windows were inside: here using explosives they have appropriated of the money that was in the safe and then return on the roof and escape by helicopter. The fact has happened in a twenty minutes, a local police's spokesperson has declared, who has seen, in a powerless manner the episode, occurred as in an action movie.

The building was armoured by ground attacks (but not by air); the Police's cars have had many difficulties to approach to the structure after that have received the alert. But also the helicopters, inside a hangar not far from the G4A's site, couldn't take off because stopped for a bomb-alarm, caused from a suspected package left in the hangar with the accomplices of the robbers.

The helicopter, resulted stolen, has been found then abandoned at 10 km far from the robbery's place, but obviously no sign for robbers and plunder. (Avionews)

Saw this one on the news. Pretty ballsy, especially having the foresight to inform the police that they could not use their choppers because they had rigged the hangar.

Whoever was responsible, there is some serious IQ and a complete lack of fear rattling round their brain.

Let's see if they get caught because one of them is so proud of what they pulled off, he gets drunk and mouths off in a bar.
A man could lose himself in a country like this.

My dad lives 15 minutes from where this happened. He said the Swedish police were made to look like utter fools.
