    Default Fender Bassman Help ?

I'm looking to upgrade my PA, and was thinking of getting rid of my Fender Bassman 135 head to make some room and offset the cost. Problem is, I'm not really sure what they're worth. I've seen some exactly like mine go for $400 - $600 on ebay, but that sounds a little high to me.

Another weird thing is the dating....Wiki says that they were produced from 78'-83', but I believe mine is an 84', judging by the stamp on the transformer. Which is what I read was the way to date them. I've only had it about 10 years.

If I'm only going to get $100 out of it, I'd rather keep it. It's almost antique, and still CRANKS ! Nothing beats warm glowing tubes !

Anyway.....any of you guys have any info on this amp ? Possible value ?

    Much appreciated...

Those are the years of production, but have you owned the amp since new? if not, it is possible that the transformer may have been replaced. Fender used similar transformers up to 88' 89'. Alot of players crank these suckers as they do give a nice output tube distortion when dimed. After all the Bassman is what Marshall first copied when they started out. I'd also say 400 to 600 is not too much to ask. Their a good amp.
