Default Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye

Thanks again to Chef and TST for turning me on to this brilliant young man. So sorry he's no longer with us.

I'd guess I got turned on to him about 2001 by one of my best friends.

Guy was pretty amazing. I have the Grace Legacy Edition, Sketches for my Sweetheart, the Drunk, Live at Sin-e, Mystery White Boy, some acoustic bootleg stuff.

Some of his live stuff can be off sometimes, but when he was on, he was brilliant.

I recommend checking out the band "Ours" if you like Buckley...

Funny thing is I found out his guitar player was one of my best buddies at tennis camp in the 80s. It's a small world!

Ah yes..."Ours." They are very good. Ian Moore is also required listening for any Buckley fans...particularly after his first two records when he went truly independent.

Yeah Buckley was such a tragic loss. Guy was amazing, I wish I had been turned on to him when he was still around. Such an amazing voice and songwriter

My favorite song has to be a tie between the live versions of "Dream Brother" and "Everybody Here Wants You".

Here is Dream Brother live in Chicago, which is the track that captured my attention:

"Everybody Here Wants You" appeared on Sketches for My Sweatheart The Drunk, the collection of polished studio tracks and demos that would have become Jeff's 2nd record. He died the day before his band was to join him to finish the album.

Jeff...gone too soon. What a shame. Grace was one sweet album. It got a lot of plays in my house and car back in the day.
