Default Who (not The Who) will be the warm up act if VH tours in 2010?

Just wondering who VH will choose to be the warm up act for the new tour. I hope they choose an up and coming rock band similar to when they had AIC warm up for them in the early 90's. I think they did a better job in 04 with Shinedown then the last tour. I would like to see them bring along someone like Rev Theory. Guitar based rock with a strong album, good songs and good talent. I think they would be a good compliment to VH considering they have guitar oriented songs with a very good lead guitarist playing solos (don't hear very many good guitar solos from new bands these days).

    Any thoughts?

Wow. Thought I'd seen everything on this board.

Now we have a thread for who will be opening for the non-existent VH Tour in 2010.

    Wow.

But here are some acts that I think could open for them:

    Pink Floyd
    Led Zeppelin (with Bonzo)
The Who (with Keith and John)
    Jimi Hendrix
    Janis Joplin

But one I'd REALLY love to see:

    STEVIE RAY VAUGHN

    Whew. I can't wait for this tour now!!! .................................................. .................................................. ..............................................

If there was a tour in 2010, and not being a smartass like my good friend Mitch above (), there's one band who I think would be a stellar opener for Van Halen.

    Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Them or Kings of Leon. But KOL could probably hold their own as a headliner, I'd think.

Still, I wouldn't expect it to happen, because BRMC would upstage Van Halen SO badly, not to mention there won't be a tour in 2010.

It is one thing to be sarcastic and another to be an asshole. This thread had zero negativity and the first post is this? You are a douche bag. Take your negativity elsewhere. This could have been and still could be a very cool thread but you had to interject this. Hopefully people can get past your douchie post and have some fun with this.

Speaking of Stevie Ray Vaughan, check out this killer tune of his:

"If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you"

"Be careful what you wish for because you just might lose what you already have"

There is no way of predicting this. Seriously, how many of you would have picked Ky-Mani Marley out of any list of potential openers?

I should have titled the post "who would you like to see open for VH if they tour again?"

Milli Vanilli. Everything will already be set up for Wolfgang and the backing vocals.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

You know, I was kind of like wtf when I saw who the opener was, but I must say I actually enjoyed the show.

I'm sorry but I guess the amount of stupid threads that go up in Main have just got to me after a while and I took it out on yours.

And believe me, I was JUST being sarcastic. And I don't believe I directed any insults towards you. I was sarcastically insulting the topic of the thread which YOU created.

Don't take it too personally. I need to work on my sarcasm delivery so I don't come off as such an asshole.

They did well with AIC for the FUCK tour.....Maybe again with their new singer. Might be cool. Ed's buddies with Jerry too.

Personally I'd like to see them go out on a tour ala Monsters Of Rock again with bands like Kenny Wayne Shepard Band, Los Lonely Boys turn it up a bit with someone like Alice & Chains, Judas Priest and then Van Halen

    They can call it V-FEST

Full sarcasm-free admonition here: I'm a bit dense. What is the "V-Fest" reference?

I think the V is for Van Halen.

As for V Fest, please no. Can't stand festivals, by the time the acts come on that I want to see I am too drunk/tired/sunburnt to care.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I think Alice in Chains would be an option...I don't think they can go out and do large venues right now can they? Jerry and Ed were big fans of each others, seems like a good fit.

I'd like to see Chickenfoot and VH do a monsters of rock tour
