    Nice score, bmf!

How's that Pitchfactor treating you? I'm really thinking about picking one up, but $500 is a nice chunk of change for basically what is still "just" a pedal.

Yeah! Awesome find. Hows the sliders?
On the subject of the Pitchfactor though...I notice it's come down from the introductory of $600+, so at least it's going in the right direction. As far as it being just a pedal, it's pretty far off from that in all honesty. It's no one trick pony for sure. It has soooo many parameters and settings. It's just everyone has gone anti-rack these days, and companies are putting so much into these little boxes now. For instance, i have a Zoom G1. It's ok, but it's far from being a true "pedal" either. To get the sound program you want for different songs or parts, you gotta tap multiple times, and to bypass you gotta hit both buttons at once....basically you're a tap dancer. I just set it and that's it. The effect is either on or off, but the Pitchfactor has just got so much stuff packed in. That's a purchase that even though the price is high, you're getting way more for the money, and for a hell of alot less than Eventide rack gear.

The pitchfactor is one crazy ass pedal. I really use it mainly for the detune effects for VH songs but I've used it for a few crazy things, like the fake shredder setting, you play a note and it plays the other notes of that scale, at whatever speed you set! Fuck you Malmsteen!!!!

I was kinda hesitant at first spending $500 on a pedal, but I am glad I did. It has no problems whatsoever tracking what you play and either harmonizing/detuning/whateverthefuck it needs to do. I recently used and returned the Boss PS-5 for that reason alone. I would bend a note and lets say anything after a 1/2 step it would just automatically jump to the next note, as if no sounds existed between 1/2 and whole step.

The sliders on the GE-10 are smooth and they all work, my 62hz slider is slightly bent but whatever, it still works. I just need to upgrade my pedal board. This pedal plugs straight into the wall, no 9v adapter here!

Sorry about that, krez. I must have looked at the wrong post or something.

So you've tried the Boss pitch shifter? I was thinking about checking out one of those first, too (it is 1/3 the price, after all).

But, the Pitchfactor IS an Eventide product, period. I've seen a couple of used ones (GC, ebay) that were priced around $400 (they didn't last long). Hell, a decent GC sale event would get the price down around that, too.

Ok, enough of the pitchfactor talk...time to get back to that sweet-ass vintage Boss EQ. Again, nice score!

That's what I found with the Boss.....It was real glitchy. The Zoom harmonizer is actually VERY good for the money. For a pedal that only cost 120 clams at the time it tracks incredibly well, and does'nt sound as sweepy chorus like, like alot of harmonizing type effects, but you just cannot beat the Eventide.
