Holy smokes Roland, this has to be the coolest one yet. Amazing how Page's violin bow moans work over that Moody's tune, and the Wings/Styx segment deserves to be a song unto itself! Nice touch with the Stevie Wonder and Honeymoon Suite bits, as well. Once again, a terrific piece, as is to be expected at this point, however this one is truly inspired. No doubt it's going to take me hours to figure out all of the sources.

In a perverse way, this reminds me of an episode of WKRP in Cincinnati. Doctor Johnny Fever had made an on-air mistake, claiming the grand prize for the station's next promotion was $5,000. In fact, it was only $50, as the former was the station's budget for the entire year. To save his butt, he put together a "Name That Tune" tape of 5 or 6 song bits, spliced together in a manner no human should be able to get. Needless to say, a contestant nailed it, won the money and the station was reduced to giving out prizes like a tube of lip gloss for the remainder of the year.

I get the feeling that if you were running the contest, there would not have been an issue.

Beautifully done, man. All the best.
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

    Thanks LL

In the original Joplin song "Mercedez Benz", she sing acappella in D, but in my mix, I made her sing in Dm to fit the Van Halen and Brian Adams guitars (VH bass, RWTD and keyboards DITS also). I've made a lot of fantasy during that part with the drums of Iron Maiden's "The Prisoner"..., leadind to an arrangement of Stevie Wonder's "Living For The City" and the guitar of Van Halen's "Don't Tell Me (WLCD)".

Thanks again LL..., ' love you man... We can talk about that radio special now, ' cause I'm done for a while.

Thanks, that brightened the end of my work day.

I'm pretty sure that is Springsteen near the middle with the piano, but mixed like that, it sure reminds me of a local Cleveland band from the late 70's with a minor hit here.

American Noise - intro to Anyone with A Heart... Thanks for the memory too.

The Springsteen segment is the piano of "Jungleland" mixed with the piano intro of Styx's "Come Sail Away" (an octave higher).

    "American Noise" ???

I love you all..., thank you.

Dude, I've had your VH mixes & other classic rock on my iPod for months now, and it's really nice cruising aorund this town where I live knowing I have something that's one-of-a-kind. I can't wait to add this latest one. Good job!

You know what would be a nice added bonus? If you came up with some type of wallpaper that could be used as coverart for when it's loaded into iTunes & iPods.
