Default New Line 6 Spider III HD 150 Head Questions:

I don't know if any of you have this head, or have even played it, but it's actually very cool.... I traded in my POD XT Floor pedal unit on this and the MKII FBV Shortboard, and just have a few questions.

First, and most important, is it possible to adjust the level of the effects? They are pretty decent, but they are pretty hot in the over all mix for my tastes. Of course, the head didn't come with instructions, and the on line manual pretty much requires a degree in rocket science to understand.... So if anyone could dumb it down for me, that would be great!

    Thanks!
    Shaun

i have the spiderIII 150 combo, and i'm affraid that the effects are a little over the top for me too, even at their lowest settings, so i don't tend to use them, i just use my regular pedal board. although, i will adimtt that the delay's are very good and the amp models are also exellent.

Ah, so I'll take it that there is no way to adjust them in the mix level wise then.... It really sucks, because I got rid of my POD XT that I could have used for the effects, I just thought from everything I've read on these heads that the effects would be comparable.... Ah well, I can always use the GMAJOR unit I have for those things.... And I agree about the delay, the sweep echo is very cool!

I took back the Spider III head today and paid the extra $$$ for the Spider IV HD 150. It is fully customizable, which is exactly what I need, and sounds even better than the III. There are tons of new features on this head that the previous versions lacked, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. If you are looking for a new head, and don't want to mess with tubes, the Spider IV is the way to go.... I highly recommend at least checking out the specs at: http://line6.com/spiderivhd150/
