    Got it my man.

    But this guy can do,....well....everything.

Drop back funk. This has been posted here before but, it can never be over-exposed.

Imagine this backline rhythm section in YOUR band.

    Steve Gadd and Stanley Clarke.

    Fucking hell.

THAT would be a killer rhythm section! Stanley Clarke is one of my favourite bassists.

Love me some Steve Gadd. He's friggin' solid. I had a band teacher in high school that LOVED Steve. That's how I first actually knew who he was, but I was familiar with two of his performances from my childhood:
    - Steely Dan's "Aja"...I remember the song from when I was a kid, but didn't know it was Steve Gadd until high school. Love the drum breaks in there after the halfway point. Most excellent.
    - Paul Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover"...always thought that beat was cool.

Went to a drum clinic of his once in L.A. That's when I really found out how amazing he was.

So many great musicians out there. Never knew he played on those above hits. Stanley Clark is the shit and I'am into RTF. I saw them in the 70s and really get into them still . I would love to see him do a B-3 tour with Billy Sheehan.
