Default Sammy songs that have grown on you

What songs by Sammy have taken awhile to grow on you, and now you love?

I have to say "The big square inch" from "Not for sale". That riff just rocks!!!!!

"Love or money" has taken a while too, but now a fave aswell.
What is understood need not be discussed

"Dont disturb my paradise. I've asked you once. I've asked you nice" - "SERIOUS JU JU"

"I am in a blissful state. Dont bug me!!!" - Richard Dreyfuss "The Goodbye girl" 1977

I didn't care much for the Livin' It Up album when it first came out. But most of the songs have grown on me. There are some really good beach tunes on it.

I agree. I've played it alot this past summer hanging out in my backyard while grilling and having a few beers. It's just got that great summer, just kicking back on the beach feel to it.

I envy Sammy. He must live such a great life down in Cabo.

20th Century Man, I just love the way he sings it. Also, The Pits and Confession really grew on me overtime.

I used to hate absolutely every song on Livin it Up. Now, I only hate most of them. But I LOVE the song Livin' on a Coastline! Great feel. I love the guitar sound. That song just makes me happy.

The Pits is a very good song. I love what he did with it from a lyrical standpoint.

I really like the song I'm On A Roll from Sammy's last album. Great guitar in it. When I first heard a live clip of it on you tube, I didn't like it, but when I heard the album version it's much better.

Same here. The live version did it for me. It probably helped that it's between Top of the world and WCTBL.

Change of subject. I grow tired of the comments regarding Hagar's lyrics. I know that he seems stuck in a perpetual state of adolescence, talking about getting laid all the time, but hey, I like it. But, if you want some deep lyrics, and certainly much deeper than anything Dave sang, I would check out the following list:

    5150
    Mine All Mine
    Judgment Day
    Pleasure Dome
    Right Now
    Seventh Seal
    Feelin
    Crossing Over
    Humans Being

Just wanted to get this out there. Thanks.

The Pits "two bucks an hour..." dead giveaway that this tune is more than 30 yrs old!

"Filmore Shuffle" is a song I'd like to note for the hell of it. I heard it and after the first listen I was humming it and singing what I thought were the words, then had to listen again. That song is very fun, and contageous as hell.
