    Default gear section

I was wondering if it we should have a forum dedicated to amps, pedals, etc...(not just photo's of your gear) but discussions on what different people are using to achieve their sound.

I remember there was a line 6 thread going on a while back, and after searching for a while I can't seem to find it.

I was thinking of starting a new thread on everyones opinion of the Spider 111 Jam, VS Peavey Vypyr

    Anyone own either of these?

That would be great! I've got some cool old gear I'd not only love to post pictures of but also discuss their history, and also bat around some new ideas how to use them that others may have tried.

i wouldn't mind having a gear specific forum either. All the threads that show up in the guitar forum about pedals, amps and such could go in there.

guess it's up to ole AT.
    Stay out of it, dude.

    Bass forum!
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I can honestly say that I enjoy the guitar forum because I learn a lot, as the guitar takes a lot more skill than the bass (in my opinion), but it would be cool to just talk about the bass.

    Guys:

Gear talk--pedals, amps, etc.--fits right into the Guitar Room. And for the time being I don't see any problem with putting bass related stuff there as well.

    Moving this thread there now...

i have a spiderIII 150w combo that i bought for rehersals and small gigs
i have to say the amp models are very good although the high gain ones are a little over bassy and lacking in mid range...but very usable, my only critisism is the chorus is way too much even on the lowest settings, not a problem if you have seperate pedals/multi effects....overal i think its a great amp for the money.

"I'm a 45-year-old man, and I still like to wear a thong or a speedo when I go swimming.
Not because I have a great body, it's just an easy way to make sure I have the hotel swimming pool all to myself."...Bullwinkle for quite obvious reasons!

think the spider jam is worth the price tag, just to have all those drum tracks and what not? I'm looking for something to new to "jam" with, when i can't get out of the house to the drummers house.

To many decisions for me with all these modulation amps...spider, vypyr, vox
