    Default Favorite Televsion Finales

The current True Blood conversation inspired this thought....

What are your favorite final scenes from TV history?

Of course...everyone loves the MASH finale.

I personally enjoyed the final scenes of
    Star Trek:TNG
    Galactica
Millennium (as much as it pissed me off)
    Frasier
    And yes - Cheers

The Wonder Years, I bawled my brains out when the narrator got us caught up to the present. He was basically talking about how crazy the passing of time is with all the twists and turns and how you never know what to expect. It was really touching.

Yes that one too, I loved the whole "it was just a dream" premise. Cheers was good too, so was Friends. Seinfeld's was HORRIBLE!!

this one is my all time favourite. I still bawl my brains out when I catch the finale on reruns. When Kevin says that winnie got married while she was in europe...my god. That killed me. That was the final nail in the coffin burying my youth and innocent view of love. Then, just as I start to get myself together we hear that Jack died and Wayne took over the family business...man fuck that noise.

    Greatest show ever.
    Stay out of it, dude.

Even though I had just a passing familiarity with Bob Newhart's other series, I still found this to be hysterical. Great finale!

I wasn't a regular watcher of "Newhart" - if at all - but for some reason I chose to watch the finale - and that's the one that sticks with me. "Cheers" does, too. I was a regular viewer of such shows as "Frasier", "Family Ties", "Friends" - I can't for the life of me tell you how they ended! Maybe it's an "F" thing!

Didn't he end up with Courtney Cox? I'll be damned if I remember that finale either. I do remember the one hour episode that Fox did as nearly a one man show in the second half. He was talking to a shrink after behaving strangely after a friend's death. It was pretty good for a so-called sitcom.

That's the one episode of the series I remember most. Felt like I was watching a play, rather than a sitcom. Never even saw the psychiatrist's face. Was brilliantly done.

The Tom Hanks appearance as Alex's alky uncle was pretty good too.
