    The Def Leppard thread!

Hysteria is my favorite Def Leppard album. I am also a huge fan of Adrenalize. Let's Get Rocked, Heaven Is, Animal, Photograph, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Ride Into The Sun, When Love And Hate Collide, Long Long Way To Go are my favorite songs by them.

I've got all the albums Yankee, so I'm a big fan myself. I hardly ever listen to anything passed Hysteria though. I've been in a On Thru The Night mood for weeks now, but I don't think I'd call that one my favorite. Pyromania probably stands out to be the best IMO, but High And Dry rocks pretty good too.

They were in the studio with Steve Jones on "Jonsey's Jukbox" (local
radio show) last week, and did some unplugged stuff as well as
talking at great length. Entertaining stuff, but someone please tell
these guys "Pour Some Sugar..." sucks balls and scaling it down to
a 'Hand Jive' rhythm only exposes how fluffy it really is. Ughh.
The best though was, how they were telling Steve they were going
to start a band called "Sex Tramp" and play Pistols covers with
Supertramp lyrics. They started in on "God Save the Queen" and Jonsey
starts singing "Dreamer" over them in an uncannily "Rotten" voice.
I literally doubled over and nearly drove off the road. I swear I laughed
    so hard I was crying.

Yeah but I don't think its a matter of the band thinking PSSOM is a great song, but rather that it was a HUGE single for them. Knowing this band they probably would not mind dropping it from all future set lists because they are into "growing".

Anyway, I have all the albums as well. They were one of my favorite bands. I'm grown passed all the singles and hits with this band and would prefer listening to the less known songs.

    GODS OF WAR, anyone?

Toss up between "Pyro" and "Hysteria" as far as my fave Def Lepp album goes. I liked "Slang" for its experimental sound.

Was fortunate enough to see them on the "Adrenalize" tour. Classic moment is when Phil Collen was noodling around on an acoustic ( I think they were prepping to play "Tonight" ) and he started into "Back In Black". Right on cue, the audience started singing the beginning lyrics up until.....

    Yes I'm let loose
    From the noose
    That's kept me hangin' around....

After that the lyrics started to kind of bleed into thousands of mumbles, and then massive laughter when the entire audience realized that 90% of the people didn't know the rest of the words. Joe Elliott stood at the head of the stage shaking his head with a huge smile on his face and said, "Why is it no one ever gets to that part?"

Pyromania is my favourite Def Leppard album. Slang is solid album from more recent years, I would have liked them explore that direction more...

Gods Of War rocks! I'm much more of an Armageddeon It man though. The chorus for that one is the shit.

Has anyone seen the video for "When Love and Hate Collide"? That has to be some of the weirdest shit I've ever witnessed.

I have that video somewhere in my collection, but I have no clue where it is. What's so weird about, cause it's been a long while since I've seen it.
