Default All Access Neck Joint on Strat???

In my opinion I think that strats are great except for the bulky neck joint. Here is my idea. What do you think???

I think I'm going to build my next franky this way just to make more playable.

I likes. You could also do the same thing with bolt ferrules, but the bent neckplate is cool as hell!!!

Sure, but wouldn't it be easier to do the angled neck joint like what Warmoth does? There would be no need to bend a neck plate.

it seems to looked Forced...maybe do a gentler angle so you don't have to BEND the neck plate so much.

I've never seen it. Do you have any pictures?

I thought about ferrulls too, but it requires drilling new holes for the neck because the current holes are too close to the edge of the body to accommodate the ferrulls. Not a big deal for me, but if anyone else ever wanted one, people don't always have the tools to fill and drill new holes.

You can do it without bending the neck plate at all. You just cut a shallower angle and use a couple of shorter screws. There's a guy around here who does it a lot.

    Don't read this.
