    Cancer-risk labels for hot dogs

"Warning: Consuming hot dogs and other processed meats increases the risk of cancer."

That's the label that a vegan advocacy group wants a New Jersey court to order Oscar Mayer, Hebrew National and other food companies to slap on hot dog packages.

The nonprofit Cancer Project filed a lawsuit today on behalf of three New Jersey plaintiffs asking the Essex County superior court to compel the companies to place cancer-risk warning labels on hot dog packages sold in New Jersey.

Really. But look at the positive side of this...the lawsuit did not come about as a result of stupid people suing the hot dog manufacturer for a drowning incident, leading to a warning label on the side of the package stating:

"These hot dogs are not to be used as a flotation device."

Maybe they should add "Do NOT Insert" on that warning label as well.

I like the line "vegans complaining about hot dogs is like the Amish complaining about gas prices."

Seriously...I hope everyone can see this is nothing more than aggressive holier-than-thou vegans trying to force people into eating less meat.

I swear, vegans and obnoxious Christians...it's like they were made for eachother. Can you imagine locking them all in a giant arena, like the Astrodome and not letting them out until one side has completely won over the other? I think their self-righteousness would cause a rip in space-time and create a black hole right there.
    Stay out of it, dude.

What is up with the pricing of those damned things lately? Until recently, you'd get either a dollar off coupon in the Sunday paper or the supermarket would mark them down to 2 for 5 bucks. All of a sudden, 2 for 8 bucks is now a bargain.

no joke...prices have gone up on everything but I have noticed the price of hebrew nationals. I was going to buy some a few weeks back and had to put them back.

However, I believe it's Sam's that serves those bad boys up, with a large drink for only 1.28!!!

Seems like it's the same thing with nearly everything in the store these days. there's either less in the package or the price shot up.

no joke. grocery prices are really getting out of hand. Whether we're talking about meat, milk, cold cuts, (jeez...the price of sandwich meat is really insane!) sodas or anything else.

I guess this is because of increase gas and a byproduct of the ethanol craze.

Yeah, no kidding. I remember bitching when roast beef was approaching $5 a lb in the deli at the grocery store...I wish it was even close to that these days!
