Default Movies that everyone HATES but YOU LOVE!

Why not...we have the other. Why not this one?

    Here's a few:

    Very Bad Things starring everyone.

I absolutely love this movie. Christian Slater's character is my hero and if I had to boil myself down to a movie character for someone to understand where I'm coming from in life, I think he's a good example to use.

"I'm a lighthouse! I stayed LIT FOR YOU. And I never go dark!! NEVER GO DARK!!!" absolutely classic.

I met a guy who liked that movie but that was about it. I took a date to see it in the theaters once and we had to leave. The Wife, hates it.

I'll grant you, the arguing and screaming that those guys do is the most "real" arguing/fighting/anxiousness/tension/aggression I've ever seen on film and at times it's very ofputting. I find myself right there with them in the car "get to the point!! What's your point!!!!!" and in the coffee shop: "goosed! we're GOOOOOSED!!!"

    But still...that movie is awesome.
    Stay out of it, dude.

Creator (1985) Peter O'Toole was funnier than hell in his interactions with David Ogden Stiers. Thing almost borders on chick-flick, but was pretty damn good.

Reds - A film that lasts over 3 hours, dedicated to the Russian Revolution. What's not to love?

Halloween III - Season Of The Witch - The only film in the series that had absolutely nothing to do with Michael Myers.

Murrow/A Case Of Libel - a pair of films originally broadcast on the Showtime channel in the early eighties, both featuring Daniel J. Travanti. Murrow features a woefully miscast Travanti as newsman Edward R. Murrow. The filmmakers even had to alter the sound of Travanti's voice, which was far too high and reedy compared to Murrow's stentorian tones. The ever temperamental and difficult Travanti was hot with Hill Street Blues at the time, but his boorish behavior (both on set and off) marked these films as pretty much the actor's swansong in Hollywood.

Band Of The Hand - You get the impression this movie was made on off days on the set of Miami Vice. The executive producer was none other than Michael Mann, who was in charge of the tv show. And one of Vice's directors, Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) directed the film.

well I'm going to use "everyone" loosely here but judging from all the men on my thread of "Movies you hate that everyone loves" It's apparent that the ones I love, You all hate!

St. Elmo's Fire is huge for me
    Dirty Dancing
    Breakfast Club
    Pretty in Pink

    Call me an 80's girl

However don't judge my character on this list of sappy chick flicks...check out my horror thread....

I've always really liked Cop Land but have never talked to anyone who didn't think it was terrible.
"With me in the band, it's one of those miraculous 97-97 deals. It's 97 percent you and 97 percent moi. Is it Mick or Keith? I don't know" -DLR

"We eventually started playing clubs, and we also did weddings. We played everything from the Ohio Players to K.C. & the Sunshine Band. Only saw it once, but was impressed by it. Very un-Stallone for a Stallone flick.

You and me both, sista! (minus DD and PP). LOVED St Elmo's Fire. I wanted to be Demi's character so bad. I can still remember lines like Jules saying if she was going to be a bag lady, she'd have alligator bags. And Ally Sheedy's character confronting Alec on his "extracurricular activities"....and when Billy tells Jules to "assume the position", and she says, "You break my heart."

God, isn't that sad? I'll forever be 22 years old.

they are all atop my list! John Hughes was a genius...dirty dancing, though not his, was certainly not a bad movie either!

Jesus, that is too funny. I forgot that's an actual line. (Jules says it, right?)

Dirty Work with Norm McDonald is gold.

Sylvester Stallone's COBRA is a masterpiece.

To comment on the genius of Charlie Sheen's THE WRAITH would be a distraction from beholding it...
