Default Blaas Of Glory: Swiss Dixieland/Oompah Band Plays Hard Rock Classics

Just when you think you've heard it all. You have to be a seriously cynical misanthrope not to get a smile upon your face listening to these guys. They are pretty much just like those bands you hear playing "The Chicken Dance" each fall during Oktoberfest in your local park, except they wear long haired wigs and concentrate on the material of Motorhead, Aerosmith and VH.

Yes, it's goofy as hell. It's also pretty damned musically inventive as well, as the players adapt their instruments to song structures that certainly are unconventional for a band like this. Here is their suitably tongue in cheek website (Click the British flag for translation): Blaas of Glory

You can find more videos of their twisted, yet inspired lunacy here.

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
    George Bernard Shaw

Holy crap that's funny but good. "Ace of Spades" rocks! Love the clarinet solo and the according doing Lemmy's bass line leading up to it. I could see how some would think they are 'taking the piss' but I think Lemmy would approve. Your right Craig. There is some impressive arrangement going on there. Those guys gave it some thought.
