Default Review: Chickenfoot Rocks Holland \m/

Yesterday Chickenfoot rocked Holland's socks off, and i was there, heres the review:
After a few hours of traveling we arrived at the venue and there were plenty of people standing there already so we just joined them and waited till the doors opened.
Just when we got inside it was getting to rain pretty hard and people were still outside waiting till they could get in so we got pretty lucky with that one haha :P
But anyway, we quickly went to see if we could get a great spot in there, we were about 4 rows of people in front of us before the stage so we were pretty close
Also standing a bit on the left since we are a big fan of Joe and we know he always stands there looking at the vids of previous gigs :P

First we had a dutch band playing some songs and those guys were great.
Was sort of like, ZZ Top on crack :P
Band is called Real Men Don't Dance you might want to check them out but i dont know if they have anything out or something.
But while they were playing i supposed there where a lot of ''real men'' in the venue because nobody was moving for shit xD
That got better when Chickenfoot started playing though.

So first there was ''some'' soundchecking for Chickenfoot wich lasted pretty long and i had the idea there were some problems with Joe's guitar because the roadie was constantly tuning, messing with pedals and checking the amps.
But then finally the lights went out and the guys started to play and it was awesome.
Listening to the cd is fun, watching vids on youtube is even better, but seeing them live is just amazing nothing can top that, if you havent seen them already, GO BUY THAT @$%^#*) TICKET

Anyway, the guys were just tearing it up and having fun and the sound was great as well.
Sammy and Chad always making random jokes and telling storys between the songs and stuff.
Drum sticks and picks flying across the sky once in a while (Chad took like a million drum sticks with him to throw away xD)
The audience was okay i guess, there were some annyoing 8 year olds in the front though, thought they were real rockers or something, headbanging and junping like crazy, and completely out of rythm as well -_-
Some of those n00bs was even headbanging at learning to fall.....
Half way through the set somebody from the audience gave Sammy a Dutch flag with ''Chickenfoot Rocks Holland'' on it and he and Chad hold it for everybody to see it that was pretty awesome :P

    Set list in order:
    Avenida Revolution
    Soap On A Rope
    Sexy Little Thing
    Oh Yeah
    Down The Drain
    Bitten By The Wolf
    Learning To Fall
    Turning Left
    Future In The Past

    Bad Motor Scooter
    Highway Star

They just left out Running Out and My Kinda Girl
But what was played was really awesome, and it was really worth the money and the trip and all that stuff, i'd do it again if i could :P

Why in the WORLD would they fucking leave out My Kinda Girl?! That is an absolute shock to me. I can't imagine why they would do that, and then to play a throw away song like that Bitten By The Wolf shit, i don't get that at all. I sure hope that's not the permanent set list. Not doing Runnin' Out or Get It Up is crazy too, for that matter.

"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne

"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello

"A lot of bands mature, which means they get square; they start delivering messages. Hey, you got a message, use Western Union." -DLR
