Default Reuter's Interview with Joe Satriani

    Here's a brief interview I read on reuters.com.

I'd say that Satriani really enjoys having Sam, Mike, and Chad take care of a lot of the publicity. Seems as if he's enjoying being a part of a band for more than just for the musicianship.

Cool thanks for posting it. I'm happy for Satch. He's wanted this real band thing for a long time and even gave up on the idea a long time ago when nothing every worked out for him.

For my own tastes, I could never really get into instrumental guitar music. Yeah, I bought into the Satriani popularity during 'Surfin' with the Alien'. I think I was a junior or senior in high school. Even got to see him open for David Bowie on Bowie's Sound + Vision stadium tour in the U.S. As good as a guitarist he is, I just never enjoyed the instrumental stuff.

Take, Kenny Wayne Shepard (sp?) for example. I saw him open for VH four times in 1998. He had a singer, but it was his band. I enjoyed them very much, and I have the album 'Trouble Is...'

Seems like they really do get along. I think Joe's playing on this disc has been perfect. Not over the top, but it's right there! This is a great Rock n Roll disc. Let's hope for a couple of more CD's worth of music.

    This stuff is amazing.

I'm on record as hoping he "explores the space" a little more on the next album...but I totally agree that we got a kick ass record out of them! I'm glad Joe's happy...don't know him...probably never will...but he comes across as a great dude.

Respect for his fellow bandmates... enjoying the change in writing, touring, and promotion... not all high-and-mighty about where they're playing and how much they're making... thinking about the fans with regard to ticket sales...

Is there any wonder why VH fans are embracing this album and project so much?
