That Irish kid smokes. Really. He was goddamned impressive at the Roxy. Fretwork was amazingly adept.

Let me be the first to say:

These guys are SPECTACULAR!!! Davy Knowles can RIP on the guitar.

I'm definitely going to look into these guys music sooner rather than later.

I couldn't agree more. I just saw these guys last night in the Twin Cities, and they were amazing. I got there early and planted myself in front of where Mikey would be later, and I just happened to also be in front of Davy for the opening show. He really was incredible. I think that some of SRV's mojo crossed the Atlantic and landed in this kid. I'm off to buy a CD, or two, or three...

I had a chance to talk to Davy at the Chickenfoot show in Toronto, I told him they really impressed me and loved their set...He was real humble and appreciated what I said....I think he told me that he was from the British Isles....But I had alot of beer that night...

Davey is from the Isle of Man, a wee little island between England and Ireland. Google map it!

And yes, they ROCK!!! They got lots of love from the Detroit crowd, and he seemed genuinely humble and thankful for the cheers. Almost surprised, really. Everyone around me was saying how good he was. He can sing, too!

It was kind of funny. A local DJ came out and introduced them and they got a little bit of applause. A lot of people were still wandering around and weren't at their seats yet. They played one song and the crowd went nuts! They got a standing ovation when they were done with their set.

They came out to the tables where they were selling merchandise between before Chickenfoot started and their were quite a few people wanting to talk to them and buy CDs. They won a few fans that night, that's for sure.
