Default My Seafoam Green Relic Tele

I finally had to have a Tele of my own. I was actually making the neck for someone else, but because he's 6'7" and 290 lbs he wanted something closer to the feel of a baseball bat (and not the handle end). Making another one for him and I had a body on the shelf so I sprayed the Seafoam Green and proceeded to make it look like it was older than me.
    Here's some specs:
    Body: Swamp Ash
    Neck: Maple/Rosewood
    Bridge: Fender 3-saddle
    Nut: Brass
    Tuners: Kluson
    Frets: 21 Jumbo
Pickups: Seymour Duncan Vintage Broadcaster and Antiquity Neck
Talk about a Tele from Hell. This thing changes the way I play.

Yes rosewood. With the Seafoam Green and the Tortuous Shell Pickguard it is the obvious choice.

That is totally awesome! I love the color scheme you got going there - you gave me some ideas. And how is the Duncan Broadcaster pickup? I've meant to try that one. Anyway, very cool finished product and I 100% agree that playing a Tele changes your style...

Thanks! The Broadcaster Pickup is awesome. It's got such a vintage sound and tone that you have to feel to believe. After I built the "Johnny Cat" Tele (http://www.vhlinks.com/vbforums/the-...ght=johnny+cat) for John Evans last year I know I had to have a Tele.

I really love this guitar, but like Leo said "If you don't sell the first one you can't make another.". It's not the first, but it like everything else (except of course the one's you can't sell) is always for sale. My Dodge Viper Blue San Demon is also for sale now.

He's used them sporadically through the years, just to get that particular tone. Most notably, everything on Runaround was done with a Cherry Metalic Tele except for the solo. It sounds very cool. I've never owned a Tele, but have played my fair share sitting in. I should get one one day.....but I dunno..... I guess my snobery gets in the way!

I love Tele's. I think my sig guitar would be some kind of neck-thru tele type guitar with humbuckers that had some sort of coil tap on them that would allow me to get a single coil sound on the neck. It's probably made out of a darker body wood too...aaaahhhh...one day DivebombInc...one day you will be making me a very special guitar.
