Default So There I Am, Watching The Indy Car Race...

from Texas this evening (The Texas 550) when out of nowhere comes a commercial...for Chickenfoot. The ad is filmed in black and white, with each member introduced along with some live footage. The song used is "Oh Yeah". At the end it makes mention of the album's availability at Best Buy.

    Nicely done, gents.

I saw one late Thursday night (or early Friday morning, to be accurate) on the Military Channel.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

Big Indy car fan? I grew up 40 miles from the speedway. I saw this also tonight as well. Love VS coverage of the series.

Tell the truth, I'm much more of a NASCAR fan these days, but seeing open wheels at night is really cool. Besides, even though there is a Grand National (OK, Nationwide Series) race on ESPN2 right now, the insufferable Rusty Wallace is doing "color", rather than Dale Jarrett.

I do enjoy the inventive programming (such as keeping the race viewable in sidebar during commercials) that Indy includes. I just believe that they have shot themselves in the foot by broadcasting on the bicycle channel.
At least F-1 has the common sense to replay overseas races at reasonable times the same day. With Indy-car, you rarely if ever even know that a race is to be televised.

Man there went the convo...lol .Nascar hate it..Do like Tony S. watched him alot at local race tracks on Friday nights great racing talent. Compare him to the one and only AJ Foyt. Nascar has some issues one being they need to make the rules at the beginning of the season and stick with them. Don't change them on a weekly basis. What is it this week position 1 and 2 race side by side on every restart? Next week it will be something else.

Did not destroy the conversation at all, if you'd have read my (as well as other's) unfailing criticisms of NASCAR in our racing thread in the "Play Ball" section here at the Links. Speaking of which, why not check it out and join in the conversation? It's open 24/7, and another voice is always welcome.

I've seen it a number of times. Saw it on Conan early in last night's show, saw it a couple days ago watching the Cubs game ironically enough, and also saw it watching the Stanley Cup.

    These guys sure are serious
