No damage reported thus far. My place shook a little while I was making my lunch for tomorrow. Went outside....looked for damage/power out. Nothing to see.

Called the GF, she's okay. We're already back to BAU. Was a 5 pointer.

We've been having a lot of them the last few weeks. We didn't feel this last one though, my parents did. I always say when it's hot and calm here it's earthquake weather and it usually is.

Wunnafull, that means it's our turn next.

They've been falling into predictable patterns since February 2008. The next 5 pointer will either be due east of this one or somewhere between the Pinacles and San Jose.

    Damn it all anyway.

If you click on this animation, you will see the yellow square about 20 miles to the nothwest where the 5.0 hit last week. You can see a lot of action south of LA down into Mexico:

I was talking to my hot cousin at the time and felt no rumblings whatsoever (in the ground, anyway). OH!
    "Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

-Derrick Jensen, "What We Leave Behind"

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

Today's quake was just the Denver Nuggets at shootaround at Staples Center. Don't panic LA.
