Interesting. Anyone know the story behind this thing? Sounds like it could be the real deal, but then again, where's it been hiding all these years?

Apparently the seller contacted Rudy Sarzo for confirmation on it's authenticity.

Rudy Sarzo's reply.. "Yes, it's the real deal. I aslo used to have one of these. Randy used to stow it under his bunk, so it must have been left behind when we cleared the bus after the crash. Still, this item should have been sent to Randy's Mom after the crash. It just wound up in the wrong hands. Cheers, Rudy"

I agree ... it should have been sent to Randy's mom.

This is one of those "if I had too much money" things.
Cool to have in your place.
Take some cool photos rockin it.
Then send it to Randys mom.

First off, I agree, Randy's mom should have it.

As for the Sarzo thing, maybe, maybe not. I've just seen too many things being claimed as being authentic by the people who were involved that I guess I'm jaded (anyone else remember that Batmobile that George Barris claimed to have been in the series and it turned out to be a clone? ).

Still, one has to wonder how this thing has managed to stay hidden for as long as it has.

    Here's a review I found on Harmony Central ...

I wonder if they still make these things and how much they run.
I'll never be able to afford the one built for Randy, but I wouldn't mind having one built for myself if it's reasonably priced.

Thats awesome to see! Thanks for posting it Dino. I'm a huge fan of RR's music.
Kinda sad what Sarzo said...RR's mom/family really should be the ones benefiting from the sale of things like this.
