    Default Peavey 5150 II Footswitch

I just picked up a 5150 II head last night. Problem is, no footswitch. I called Peavey and they want over $150 for the original. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that builds footswitches?

This isnt rocket science, but I figure if I am going to pay $150 I might as well get a good one, the 5150 II switches are better than the 5150 plastic ones, but you still see alot of problems with them. Thanks.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but they look like a solid alternative.

Same thing here... I bought the head, it had no foot switch, Peavey wanted $120 for the switch and $30 for the cable. At the time I sucked it up and paid for it, then later I found one on eBay for cheaper and bought it to have as backup. If you can wait a little while, see if anything shows up on eBay.

Mine is a 6505+ footswitch and it was about 140 for cable and footswitch. They shipped it for free though. Excellent customer service Peavey has.

    Default Voodooman

I got hold of Voodooman and he is going to do a 5150 and a 5150 II footswitch for me. We will see how long it takes to get them. I have heard horror stories about turnaround with this guy, but I guess his footswitches kick ass.

I will provide updated status and my dealings with woodooman if anyone is interested.

    Go to Guitar Center
    ...buy a 6505+
...play the hell out of it for 29 days....
return it and tell em that the amp sucks
and that it was also missing a footswitch......

Just kidding.... Even though..I hate them BASTARDS!!

I bought one of his 5150 switches off eBay. I needed one for my combo, and I figured since it was so small (about the size of a Phase 90) it could very easily be included on a pedalboard (right now my amp switch sits separately from my pedalboard). It does work well, though I haven't given it a lot of abuse yet. And, yeah, I got some crazy "family emergency" story from him when the thing took six weeks to get to me.

Well, 3 weeks aint bad for the voodooman. He made me 2, one for the 5150 and one for the 5150 II. Very high quality, and comes highly remommended. Just thought you guys might want to know.
