I really like the sound of these clips. They'd probably sound even warmer if they were directly recorded. Nice.

I see you've got your little "man cave" to play guitar in, too!

yeah, there are some video clips of my friend paul playing my rig and some of me playing...this was a guitar striaght into the plexi into a dry cabinet.i was using a wet dry wet setup with the 1-12 being wet with 250ms delay on the left channel and 500ms on the right.no other effects.

WOW! I love the tone. In fact, I compared that tone to the clip you have of the 5150 III and I like your Plexi tone better! It has more meat and roundness to it.

WHere did you get that head? Tell me more about who made it and how I can get one!!

It's very possible. Especially with the use of the variac. Lowering the power to 90 volts REALLY cold biases the tubes, which automatically increases 2nd and 3rd order harmonics in the power section, etc. It also will add some warm/soft compression to the preamp and power sections, giving it that unique 'higher gain' EVH plexi sound, without being nasty and harsh.

Thanks. How loud would you say the Metro plexi is on volume in that clip? It seems manageable but yet has loads of gain on it.

Do you have an attenuator or feel you need one with it? Is it a 50w or 100w?

    Thanks
