Default Help with painting a evh wall

I'm wanting to paint the wall at the end of my hallway with the red, white, and black stripes. Anyone ever done this before? I'm not sure what to do. If I do the paint one color then tape and paint the next I'm afraid you will be able to see the different layers of paint. Any suggestions welcome!!!
    Thanks
    Sean

Try painting your truck first. This way, you'll learn the proper short cuts.

Actually, you could get around the dificulty you mentioned by merely painting the wall a proper shade of red enamel, then rather than masking at painting the stripes, use white and black tape of different sizes to create them.

Make a sketch of how you'd like the finished wall to look. By diagraming things ahead of time, you'll have a reference point to work from, rather than merely winging it. Also, by practising on a few poster boards taped together ahead of time, you can get a feel for how to do things.

what's the wall made out of? If it's sheetrock, maybe you can get a sheet to practice on (stay away from the Chinese stuff, though).

Definitely not...there's only one way to go when it comes to sheet rock: EVH Brand Sheetrock. Over 30 years of his personal experience and research went into creating the best sheetrock around. It's what he uses. Jeff should be stocking it soon at the VanHalen store.

Dude, chef, Midnight Run is one of my all-time favorite movies.

    MARVIN, LOOK OUT!
    "Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

-Derrick Jensen, "What We Leave Behind"

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

You are better off. The pink, white and black combo really gets uncomfortable after a while. There was a study done several decades ago regarding paint for various professional uses, including institutions. It was discovered that reds and pinks, although initially soothing, tend to draw people into a feeling of unease after a while. This is why many roadside restrooms were painted in red back then: You'd want to leave, get back on the road, and burn more fuel.

This same study revealed that jailed prisoners initially were calm in pink rooms, yet became unnerved and at times violent after a short period!
