Default EVH Eruption Live Video 78?

Wow I have never seen this one b4! Man they need to open the vaults.
With the talk bout Hendrix and EVH it's funny to see Eddie doing some Jimi style feedback into the stack stuff. Oh how soon he has forgotten? lol The point to posting this though is it rocks and early! Would LOVE to see more and better quality!*pout*

yeah that's been around a while but it's cool
Any musicians near Boston / Cape Cod want to get together and play some VH? I play drums, guitar, keyboard, bass, and I sing. I want to start a VH tribute band. Contact me if interested.

just think about the year or decade this was filmed in.

what do you think it must of been like to be in a big name band thinking you are hot shit and then you see THIS?

I have a friend in Ft Lauderdale who speaks fondly of Van Halen blowing Black Sabbath off the stage opening for them on the VH first (?) tour. That's one thing I wish I could have seen.
Don't drink the Jim Jones punch. They're called theToxic Twins for a reason...

hehe Reminds me of the story of when Pete Townshend and Clapton first saw Hendrix live. I forget the exact details abut after watching him Pete said something like "my career is over". lol He meant it at the time he was so blown away. He basically shit himself lol Of course that wasn't true, his career was just fine lol but he was seriously impressed and intimidated. I'm sure a lot of guys back in the late 70's/ early 80's in rock/hard rock were intimidated with Ed's new and exciting approach/style.

It's a shame some musicians/guitarists have to be so competitive and petty though. There is always someone better than yourself. That shouldn't make you bitter or discouraged. In fact it should inspire you. Didn't Blackmore and Perry dis Ed for that simple petty reason? On the flip side Ed always had nothing but extreme praise for guys like Allan Holdsworth who's technique is even sicker than Ed's. It's said that Hendrix inspired Clapton in this way as well and Eric's playing started to reflect his influence to a degree.
