Default "Cant stop lovin' you" live!!

This was the weakspot in the "Balance" tour. I have a few shows from the "Balance" tour, and they kick arse, but "Cant stop lovin' you" just does'nt fit. It just sounds dull. I like the studio version, but not the live version. I reckon they could've easily put another song in its place. Even though the bulk of the setlist was "Balance" material, to this day, I still think the show was still great, and lots of energy. I would've preferred "Take me back" in its place, or even "Love walks in" or something.

I could've done without this song in the set list as well.
"Cabo Wabo" should've remained a staple IMO.

Or 5150. They played it twice on the Balance Tour I believe, and just about every night on the European leg of the RHRN Tour. Clearly they didn't forget about the song, I think it would've been a sufficient replacement for CSLY, which was SO boring live. Skip over it every time.

Cabo Wabo was never a concert staple, but I damn well agree it should've been one. The best song they didn't play regularly.

Hell, AFU might've been cool as well.

I was freaking out when The Other Half they played CSLY on the 2007 Tour.

I had never heard Sam play this tune in his solo set.

It is a bit odd. Luckily, I didn't get it at my show

Of all the Balance songs? I know he played Amsterdam, too. Somehow I can't see those two working for him at all. Don't Tell Me, Take Me Back, and Feelin' would seem to fit his live shows much better.

I don't know man. CSLY was a good song for what it was, I can't imagine him bringing it back for his shows.

Chances are I'd enjoy it if he ever pulled it out at a show I attended, since it'd be such a rarity. But somehow, of all the songs he could pull from Balance, I'm surprised it was that and Amsterdam.

    from Balance sam's done:

    The Seventh Seal
    Amsterdam
CSLY (on his last tour I believe)

    that's it.

I like CSLY more and more as time goes on, there's just something about the song that I like..the backing vocals the drums, the guitar in general and I like the lyrics and the way it's sung-I don't care if it's a "ballad" or not...I think it's a pretty kick ass tune.

It was a single and a video from Balance, and it was the Balance tour....pretty much a lock it had to be there. But yeah, the live version pales in comparison to the studio version.

Of course it does because to the Roth-tards (I wouldn't call them Roth era fans because they are different) CSLY is a GAY song sung by a guy who made VH gay.

    That's what the tards think.

I never liked CSLY that much...I always thought Take Me Back would've been a better single. I think CSLY is kinda cheesy, I remember feeling kind of embarassed to be a VH fan when it came out.
Any musicians near Boston / Cape Cod want to get together and play some VH? I play drums, guitar, keyboard, bass, and I sing. I want to start a VH tribute band. Contact me if interested.

I didn't mind CSLY. Far from my favorite song on the album, but good solid tune, and obviously radio friendly, which of course can't hurt album sales.
I too like Take Me Back much better for some reason. Not Enough is even above CSLY on my list. Of ccourse, they don't compare to Don't Tell Me or The Seventh Seal.

Now...Big Fat Money and Feelin' on the other hand.....
