Default Anyone interested in buying a 1984 Kramer ??

Hey guys I leave for the Navy In July and I got a custom made kramer its striped red, white, and black. I really don't play it anymore so I thought get rid of it before I ship out, so of course I thought I'd come here first cause I know all you guys are VH fanatics just as I am!! Im asking $2,000, It's a custom guitar my cousin made it for me, it hasn't had one problem at all, I use to have an Ibanez Jem and I played this guitar instead of it haha, you won't be dissappointed! If anyone has any questions or wants a pic just shoot me an e-mail at jgabe5150@hotmail.com

    Thanks guys!

I recently sold my Kramer 1984 for $750 that was brand new. In these current times, I doubt you would get much more than that. They average out at about $600 at the moment.

Previous posters are right. You aren't going to get anywhere near that kind of money. If you check a few topics down, a 92 EBMM EVH sold for little more than what you are asking for, and that is a collector's guitar if ever there was one. I could slap together your same guitar from parts for less than half of what you are asking for it. If you can get $500 for it, take it. Post some pics too, that would help.

Yeah, no offense, people can put their gear for whatever price they want. But 2grand for that guitar??

I have seen that on the net and wondered about it myself on how people want that much for that specific guitar
I personally got a SD one for 450$

i Agree with all the others pricing quotes.

    cheers

J-GABE says he has a "custom made kramer".
Could be a GMW or something equivilent for all we know ...
In which case, $2k may still be a little high depending on the condition, but not really "out-of-line" IMO.

I don't mind paying a fair price for a nice guitar with a professional paintjob and setup.

Someone who just "slapped together" a Kramer 1984 after buying the book "How to achieve a factory finish with just a couple cans of spraypaint"? ... not so much.

J-GABE, can you maybe give us more details and maybe post a few pics?

Is it in fact a Kramer? Or a custom guitar?
If a custom ... who built it?

Did you think it was worth $2k just because it had stripes?
Or are you basing this on what you actually paid for the guitar?
    Just curious.

I'm basing it off 2k because how nice it is IMO, my cousin has been doing this for years and I told him make me a Kramer 1984!! So he bought it, put a seymour duncan pickup in it, striped it, and it has a little EVH sticker on it...I'll post the pic now! And yes its an actual Kramer

and im not sure how to post a pic because html is off for me

The fact that it's a "real" Kramer isn't always a good thing.
Sorry bro ... but $2k is WAY too much for what you have there.

I'm guessing it's probably worth around $300-$350 tops .... and that's only if the body isn't plywood.

Yup, this is what I figured also. You would be better off if that paint job were a copy of the real frankie but it is just a one off paint job.

I wish it were worth more $ for ya but not for that guitar.

    Good luck
