I don't remember them thanking anyone for their money...

Alas, though I wouldn't mind writing something similar, we're all very aware.

Um, ya know, or, he recognized the fact that the setlist never changed and Anthony belonged there? Lots of people enjoyed the tour okay? TONS, but we all wanted Mike, we all wanted a little more.

I think the huge success of the tour just shows how much Mike was missed.

I don't think you can be bitter to something, only about something.

Using the same logic, the huge success of 5150, OU812, FUCK, RHRN, and Balance and their accompanying tours show how much Dave was missed.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Not one of those tours would qualify as a "huge" success. In fact, not one of those tours including their most successful post Dave tours (5150) would come close to the 07-08 Van WolfieRoth tour. The number$ dont lie.

In fact, the numbers do lie to a certain extent. The numbers do not take into consideration the effects of inflation.

With inflation taken into consideration, Gone With the Wind is still the number one box office hit of all time by a landslide. Without inflation, it doesn't even make the top 500.

Every one of those tours were sold out successes following Number 1 Billboard Pop Albums. Not Mainstream Rock, but the important one, the pop album charts. You can hardly be any more successful than VH was from 1986 through 1993.

By the same logic you are using, none of the pre-5150 tours would come close to the 07/08 tour as well.

None of the Dave led VH tours prior to 07/08 probably came anywhere near close the gross of the 2004 reunion tour. Does that mean that debacle of a tour was more successful than the 1980 World Invasion Tour? Hell no.

I'm an auditor for a living, the numbers lie all the time!

People paid to see Dave and Eddie, everyone knows it and nobody cares. Those tours were all very successful, and when you look at the 07 tour logically, it was 23 years later, people wanted again, eddie and dave. However, had Mike been there, it would have done even better, and we all know that. I know I'm not the only diehard who held out because of his absence, and while not a ton of people did, it's surely more than you think.
But regardless of tour figures, money, etc. Everybody wants Mike, Wolfgang can't sing like that, I doubt he ever will, and he can't play bass that well (at least yet), although, granted, the parts aren't hard.
And finally, Mike is a part of Van Halen. You mean to tell me you sit there and listen to your VH tunes and you don't find any worth, any respect, any appreciation of those backing vocals? Or do you only listen to 07/08 bootlegs?

You wanna accept Wolfgang, go ahead, but, and with all due respect, how anyone can toss Mike as a meaningless member is just beyond me.

You're obviously on Eddie's payroll. No real VH fan would dismiss Mike the way you do...

How much per hour do you earn?
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth
