    Hustler Interview Wolfie brought Ed back!

    I didn't see this mentioned anywhere.

    http://www.realrocknews.com/

    Looks like I have to tell my wife I bought Hustler for the interviews!
    I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

    I actually read the full interview over the weekend in the mag. It may be the most positive interview I have heard of all the recent ones he has done lately. Not only regarding Eddie being happy and healthy but also in terms of them getting this going this summer and trying to put a record together with Dave. Any one have a full transcript?

    it seems the only VH we would have ever gotten again was with Wolfgang in the band, and I am fine with that.

    At least the kid had the common sense to focus on the Roth era. You simply can't bullshit kids when it comes to quality music.

    interesting perspective. Although his myspace page it is dedicated to both era's.

    Plus, Sammy wasnt going to be in a band without MA.

    I didn't even know Wolf had a myspace page, so I googled it and all I see is one of the VH "ring" logos from the Hagar era. Actually surprised dad lets him do it, I mean, that's close to letting real news out of the VH camp.

    But the kid does need to lose the picture of him biting into the bass....

    You refer to the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to Van Halen ... You believe its thisss boy, Wolfgang?

    CVH > VH version IV

    CVH = 6 Albums
    VHIII = 1 Album
    VH version IV = 0
    EVH = 10 invisible albums worth of material
    DLR, circa 2001:

    "Hey this is David Lee Roth and I promised you the news and here's the news.

    About a year ago myself and the great Van Halen band played together once or twice and it sounded amazing!

    In the following several months Edward and I, Edward Van Halen and me, David Lee Roth, created some of the most amazing, phenomenal - the hands fell off the clock ladies and gentleman and we wrote three astonishing tunes.

    That was last July (2000) and since then I haven't been up to the studio, we haven't really been in touch and we haven't made any music, but I am holding forth, I'm in the shape of my life and I got the high note - I'm ready to go.

    And I am positive for the future ladies and gentleman.

    Stay tuned and I'll tell you what the future brings..."

    I'm not typing all that shit out........however, it is a great read, about 3 full pages......Ed sounds VERY healthy and positive. I got the idea the actual interview took place late last year because there was one question about his new gear and then mentioned the guitar would be out in January of 09'.

    And for those scoffing at the idea of Eddie doing an interview in Hustler..............Sam and Mike have done an interview that will be in next months edition.

    Old news on Wolfgang motivating dad to relearn the old CVH tunes. Ed mentioned this in an interview before the RRHOF/Rehab debacle.

    I wouldn't pin any hopes that Wolfgang is some diehard CVH Rothtard when it comes to music selection. The only reasons Van Hagar hasn't been on the radar is first and foremost Dad's current issues with Spammy and secondary is Dave won't touch Van Hagar tunes...

    Somewhere down the road Van Hagar will surface... don't fool yourselves into thinking that part of the catalog will be shelved due to Wolfgang.

    No, it'll be shelved by Roth, like you said. And any new music burys the hagar stuff that much deeper.

    Are you void of humor? Chef, although I know he's partial to the CVH years, was making what we like refer to 'round these parts here as a heaping stack of facetiousness. In other words, it was a joke.

    PS - Neal Schon still sucks.
