Default The Complete Star Fleet Project EP - Brian May & Friends

This is a collection of clips comprising the entire Star Fleet Project EP released by Brian May in October of 1983. The personel on the mini album consisted of:

Brian May - guitar, vocals, production
Eddie Van Halen - guitar, backing vocals
Alan Gratzer (REO Speedwagon) - drums
    Phil Chen - bass guitar
    Fred Mandel - keyboards
Roger Taylor (Queen)- backing vocals on "Star Fleet"

Only the first three tunes appeared on the original release. The fourth, titled "Blues Breaker - Part Two" has only recently surfaced. Of notice is the track "Let Me Out", in which EVH snaps a string, yet continues anyway. These are relatively full versions from the EP itself, not the edited versions previously available in video clips.

I used to have this on vinyl (I am sure it is in a box somewhere), and BluesBreaker 1 and 2 was one complete song. I new that every version I had heard over the past 10-12 years was missing something.

Yep. I should have checked the run time for the tune. Sure as shit, it's 12:51.

    Apologies, my mistake.

This original album is one of my prized possessions - kinda' had me excited when you said you had a part II, but that is on the original release as one track.

I love the way Ed ends "Starfleet" the song.

    All good

I have one of the original LP presses. Got it at the Navy Exchange at Little Creek Amphib base. I only got $ 2 a week allowance back then, so I found the record, hid it behind some classical albums that were literally dusty, and a couple of weeks later, when I had enough dough...I went back and there the record still sat in the dusty ass classical section.

I've forgotten this record each and every time I was going to meet Ed, and get him to sign stuff. DAMMIT !

I got this record when it came out in the day. Very cool. One of my favorite moments is the solo to the Star Fleet tune..Brian May's signature sound introducing Ed's solo..(right after the Queenish harmony "Starfleet Starfleet Starfleet Starfleet")..

Awesome Guitar God collaboration and moment. TY for posting this.
