    Default Ahhhh, the good times

    I loved the 1988 stage

The 1988 stage was better after MOR when it went indoors (since people could be behind the stage then. Wish there was a good US boot from that tour (not just the Japan one). I loved that tour more than the MOR. But still the 1986 tour was the best one with Sammy. They jammed a lot on that tour. By 1988 and after it was all pre-arranged, even the jams, you could tell, were set up.

The Cabo Wabo in the middle of YRGM on the LRHRN video was not impromptu. Sad.

I saw the band in Pittsburgh 1991 (3rd show of the FUCK Tour) and it was great. They played for 2:15-2:20. By the time I saw the same tour 2 months later it was down to 2 hours (with the encore breaks) and 3 songs were gone from the setlist. Just a shame how the routine set in.

    Pretty cool!

Too bad 8 years later they split. Chemistry in '88 was really good though.

Wow.....Al looks like he could do a guest spot as a drug lord on Miami Vice.

Edit: damn.....the 3:52 mark really made me nostalgic. I mean....where'd that happy guy go?

I've got a ton of boots from that tour and they were still doing alot of impromptu stuff IMO, maybe it was planned but I have them doing alot of different stuff, playing Suzie Q and stuff....they still did that in 91 even though it doesn't sound as good or as spontaneous on RHRN...there was a clip on youtube of them doing YRGM, Mississippi Queen, Rock Candy (either that or make it last), and crossroads all in one shot.....they didn't get overly anal about things until 95 IMO.
