    Default Spray Painting

    Hey whats up Ed Heads,

ok, I live in Sound Seattle area and the weather is 37 degrees with 98% humidity Yeah the Weather SUCKS!! and is goin to suck till summer again and I have all these projects laying around the house, the one i really want to get done, is a mexi strat that i want to make into the W/B strat of ed's.

So my play is: I have a shed that i can put a oil heater in and leave overnight, also i have a heat lamp i can use to quick dry for alittle bit..

Any thoughts of what i can do, so i can spray?
or is the humidity too high?
even after the oil heater and lamp will it still too cold to paint?

if it is hopless and will ruin the project, then ill have to wait. But im hoping not.

oh btw... seattle sucks in the winter time........

I wouldn't try it -- heater or not. Even if you get the place sealed enough to be the right temperature, you'll pass out or die from paint fumes being in there. Also, the super high humidity is not good for any finish application I know of.

I've tried to finish stuff in the wrong climate conditions before, and it basically always turns out much worse than if I had waited for the proper setting. It hasn't always been a total failure -- just nowhere near as good as it could have been.

Move to So Cal, then you can paint it in the winter.
