Default 80's Hair metal Guitar Pedal Recommendations

What can you recommend for a pedal I can get today in a store or used, that will best represent the 80's Hair Metal sound. Ratt, Lynch Mob, Poison...you know what I mean.

I have a Boss MT-23 Metal zone, which I suppose is ok, but just wondering if there was a better one?

A recent study shows 92% of the teenage population likes rap music. If you are part of the 8% who listen to real music, put this as your sig.

seems like a compressor would be very necessary to get that tone as well but some of the pedal gurus around here would probably have a better recipe than me...

There was a yellow Boss pedal everybody had back then, too. I think it was the "Super Distortion" or "SD-2".

    Don't read this.

ooh I remember that one. A lot of guys I knew had it. Hell, if I'm not mistaken this guy I met at a guitar center once used to carry one with him so he could play on the gear in the store. Jeez...what a freak that guy was. He'd come in with his backpack, pull out his pedal, pick up a BC Rich or a Jackson, grab some cables from the accessories department and sit at a solid state Crate rig and just go to town. He IDOLIZED C.C. Deville...no joke. He thought CC was THE MAN. Mind you, this was in 1999/2000!!!! He would spend all freaking day there, I saw him have pizza delivered to him!!

the Boss HM-2 is also great for the 80's tone. I don't use mine at all any more cause' I got the amps that do fine on their own now, but it served me very well during the late eighties early ninties. when I was running Marshall Blues Breaker Combos.
