Empty Cabo Wabo Bottle Ideas--Need ideas!

I need your help. I have 6 empty Cabo Wabo bottles that I have emptied throughout the years and I need to know if there is anything that I can do with them. My wife wants me to toss them, but they are like collectors items to me and I want to do something with them that isn't too tacky.

Any interesting ideas please list them here. What have you guys done with your empty bottles?

If they're older vintages, they'll sell on eBay. If you have one of the white ceramic bottles, you can get over a grand for an empty bottle of one of those. If they're modern vintages (agave logos), they're not worth anything and not really worth holding onto, as they're not collector items. Collector Cabo bottles generally started at the third generation bottling (painted cactus landscape bottles) and work downward to second (light blue bottle lighthouse logo) and first generation (white ceramics - blue and gold lighthouse logos).

Fill them with sand from Cabo.

I have 8 or 9 that I've collected but haven't done anything with them yet.

I use them as sort of a piggy bank where I unload all the extra pennies that I wind up with.

I have two of the painted cactus landscape bottles. I tried to uploaded a pic for you to see, but it wouldn't stick in the post . I will have to check ebay, had no idea these were worth anything. Thanks for the info, Van Squalen!

They aren't worth much. The first gen ceramic bottles are the cash cows. The second gens fetch anywhere from 10-40 bucks for empties, I suppose. There are two vintages on the secon gen bottles though, the first vintage goes for more. Different Spanish wording on them. Los Cincos Soles on the first one, I think, Terra Firme on the second one.

Your third gen cactus landscape bottles might get 5-10 bucks, maybe. Check eBay completed listings for the same item and see what they're currently going for.

FYI, Cabo bottles always seem to go for more when Sam's on tour.

There is a gentleman that post's on a Sam fan site that makes lamp's out of them. PM me if you are interested.

I have two lamps made out of them. One 750ml and one of the 3L bottles. I paid about 30 or 35 bucks to make into lamps.

My second suggestion is to fill them back up with tequila and start over!

Wow, I have a first gen bottle unopened with the picture tag still hanging on it.

    Wonder what that's worth.

The ones I got in '97 - put sand from Cabo along with small seashells in them. Then I put different colored candles on top and let the wax melt down. Kind of a psychedelic beach theme. A bit messy too, but it's still kind of cool.
