The dude's a better pianist than he is guitar player. Does he get mad at the people around him for making noise? I think he shushing them there at the end. Nice vid, never seen something like that before.

Damn, I'd like to hear a bunch more of that. He should release an album of that stuff.

This must be at the infamous adult industry party Eddie held at his home. I recall a guest writing how great Eddie was on piano. He sounds awesome here.

Check yourself! He's EVH the guitar god, and must release only music that's Van Halenish....The fans would be up in arms if he did anything remotely different from the tried and true Van Halen formula. Reference VHIII for a clearer explanation.

All sarcasm aside, I couldn't agree more that it'd be nice to hear more of this side of EVH. Given he's no longer tied down by Warner Brothers, I wish he'd release an EP or some such thing right from the VH website. I'd buy it and would bet many more fans would as well.

    Huh?

Maybe it's my 4 years of piano lessons as a kid talking, but he sounds (and looks) like a drunken mess, but you can tell he definitely has chops on the piano.

However, I do wish to express my agreement and support of this opinion, so I will quote the post in question to give it a bump and insure that others read it, and I will add the word "this" to it, because I'm too cool to write a long post which would say something like, "I agree with this post", because that would be nerdy, so, instead I just write the word "this", because it's the cool way to do it, and, if you're as cool as I am, I shouldn't have to go into a long explanation because that would be really lame.
    But it's all ruined now.

The Bridge School benefit he did with Hagar a few years back shows some REAL good piano work. Right Now And Love walks In I think. Maybe someone can put it up!!!

Look, I dabble keyboards myself and I wouldn't rate EVH's skill much better than my own ham-fisted playing ability. All he ever seems to do is roll his fingers around chord shapes, which is hardly mastery of the instrument.

    Here's the Bridge School deal.
