    Default EARTHQUAKE!!

Who would have thought in the middle of Amish Country USA?

It was only a 3.3 but sounded like something exploded, loud bang and shaking that faded for several seconds. It was weird, and the first earthquake I've experienced.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. -- News 8 has confirmed that there was a 3.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale just north of Mountville, Lancaster County.

    It happened at 12:04 a.m.

There are no reports of any damage or injuries.

We received more than 150 e-mails at News 8.

Kevin Semrau of Lititz wrote: "Around 12:09 am heard a large boom and felt the ground shake. Live on ground floor in an apartment building in North Lititz and the neighbor on the 3rd floor said his whole floor shook. Reminded me of the earthquake we felt a few years back. Was wondering if anyone else reported anything?"

John Pawson of Pequea wrote: "We live in Pequea, and about 5 minutes ago, right after midnight, our house rumbled and shook for about 10 seconds. It seems very likely that we just had a fairly decent sized earthquake."

Joan Drake of Lancaster wrote: "At 12:03 a.m. Saturday, about 15 min ago, there was a bit of shaking of our house then a boom and for the next 20-40 seconds more shaking and rumbling. It is what I imagine an earthquake to be like. Was it an earthquake??"

Obligatory Graham Central Station "Earthquake" post.
I've played this song live and it's a lot of fun.

I could have found Larry playing it himself, but I like this guy.

    Don't read this.

God is punishing the Amish for their utter devotion and resentment of

Ha ha ha! Way to go, Pat Robertson!

All of you need to experience California earthquakes. There's nothing like watching the ground ripple like water. Talk about intense! And kinda fun.

My step-brother was at that game when the quake hit. Took him quite a while to get home to LA.

Yeah? Well this year a few drops of rain will probably take out many hillsides where it burned this year.

    California, God's still working here.

Actually, the East Coast is a very active earthquake region, just not on the magnitude of the West Coast. When I asked for earthquake insurance on my house the agent was like "what the hell you want that for??" It costs me somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 a year for total replacement due to earthquakes. How much does it cost you West Coasters??
