Hate to correct you, good sir, but the show is actually April 13, 1993 in Rotterdam.

Wouldn't have known that if it weren't for Dirq's great site!

I really don't know why Sam had such a hard time in wanting to dive into some of the old catelog? He doesn't do a bad job with the songs, he's just not Dave and after the 5150 and especially the OU812 Tours most fans finally understood that.
'Old Van Halen, when I was in it-classic Van Halen-makes you wanna drink, dance and screw, right? And the new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.' - David Lee Roth.

    That's weird.
That's not the drum kit Al played on the '93 BOBW tour.
The single bass drum, silver chrome kit was on the '91-'92 FUCK tour.
    Interesting...
Either way, very cool vid with pretty good audience sound!

Yeah, it's too bad. Before the days of going online and checking set lists, I remember Detroit going apeshit when they played Unchained in '93 and they threw in a wrinkle by playing Mine All Mine too. Fans ate it up.

Some Dave songs are actually hard to sing, he has a weird pacing sometimes.

Unchained is easy, but the damn talk-sing he does on Mean Street is bleeping hard. At lease for me it is.

Sam thought they were a new band, and lets not forget that back when Dave was in the band the first time, they promoted the hell out of their current album in the setlist.

I am sure Sam thought the newer songs were better and wanted to sing them, but when it became apparent from fan interaction, etc. that people were wanting more of the classics played, I think he should have acquiesced a little bit.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!
