Default One of the most awesome classical pieces ever.

It is not an understatement to say that if a person ate a bowl of alphabet soup, they would shit better lyrics. -lmr5150 on Up For Breakfast

Give him the "secret devil sign", stick out your tongue and hiss like a demon while bellowing out THE DARKNESS WILL ENVELOPE THY SOUL AND FEAST OF THY FLESH, INFIDEL!!!!! Then gouge a pentagram in your forehead with a nail file. -LowLifeFlatHeadScum

A recent study shows 92% of the teenage population likes rap music. If you are part of the 8% who listen to real music, put this as your sig.

"Night on Bald Mountain"...what a classic! I loved the pairing of this piece with the animation sequence in Fantasia. The two are forever linked in my mind: I can't think of one without the other.

One of my high school band teachers loved Mussorgsky, and he would play "NOBM", "Pictures At An Exhibition", and some of Mussorgsky's other compositions at high volume in the band room on the school's totally kick-ass sound system.

    Amen!

What people today fail to realize is that this music wasn't cut and pasted together using a Fairlight sampler or found on a shelf. Every bit of music in the Warner Brothers cartoons was performed by an orchestra of living and breathing humans, more often than not with a simple plot outline to go by. The invention of storyboarding things was still in it's infancy.

Simply a remarkable achievement, for cartoons of all things.

indeed...that's one of the reasons I dont enjoy cartoons these days...they're so sterile. Warner Bros breathed...they were organic and had such passion and joy...and loads of talent and creativity!

What's cool is to open up multiple Youtube windows and play em all at once.
Speaking of, didn't think you could have a discussion about brilliant cartoon
music without mentioning the Simpsons theme and I found this guy shredding
    it on some crap guitar:
