    Default Help me bulk up!

    Hi guys, long time fitness fanatic here. No stranger to hard work in the gym or commitment to a training regime in any way or form. However, the other day someone in my workplace told me they thought I was the same build as another dude at my work and this guy is SKINNY.

    I am a pretty serious weight trainer but am aware that in recent months I have lost about 7lbs due to work pressures and just being run off my feet and not eating enough. I have never been really big and to be honest its never been a goal, I was always happy just being really ripped (the ladies seemed pretty happy with that too!).

    However, being told I am the same build as this guy has got me pretty disheartened. I have worked out with the guy in question and he is W E A K and is really rather small. I am of the opinion that I am clearly bigger but if an objective third person is saying we are the same I have cause for concern! I now want to get bigger for the first time in my life. Visibly bigger.

    I am 27, and 6'3", slender athletic build, definately someone who struggles to put 'good' weight on. I am willing to do whatever though! What I would like from anyone here is there top bulking up tips. Any advice is appreciated at this stage. Morale is LOW! Thanks in advance!

    I eat some form of baked potato, whole grain rice, whole grain pasta, and whole grain wheat bread every day. DON'T BE AFRAID OF THIS STUFF!!!!!!!!!

    I have found that when I got away from these carbs that I too got thin. I lived too many years "afraid" of the things I've listed but now that I make a point to eat several of them every day I've never been in better shape. No stranger to about 2-3 bananas a day, either.

    Dont run and eat your heaviest protein (shakes) at night before you go to bed. YOUR BODY WONT BURN THOSE CALORIES THAT FAST AT NIGHT

    NO CARDIO!

    Yeh, I have been making up my own shake and having one every morning and every night before bed. It consists of 1 Banana, 700ml of milk, one scoop of protein powder, a big spoonful of peanut butter and a spoonful of honey. Its pretty hard to drink and I feel full after half of it so I guess its good.

    Have also completely dropped the cardio for now. I definately need to get with rice and whole grain pasta and whole grain wheatbread too.

    I probably am taking an off comment too seriousley but I figure I need to put the weight back on that I have lost recently anyway so why not add a few extra pounds while at it? Worth a shot.

    heavier dumbells and less reps...(I think thats right)..btw, sly stallones book is great, if you havent seen it, I would suggest it to anyone that wants to get in shape. Good luck!

    What kind of protein body are you using...soy, whey, egg? When do you drink the shake? How many grams of protein per day are you consuming? What kind of supplements do you take..diet, etc? Do you want bulk or do you want a ripped look?
