Bulls pulled it out today 100-95, great start (even though it was against Milwaukee). Nice debut by Derrick Rose. Hopefully this team can deliver more than 33 wins this season!

Seen is the name Sam Bowie coming to mind when you think of Greg Oden? Obviously too early to label him that, but this guy gets hurt way too much.

I feel bad for the team, Oden, and the fans...he's gonna miss a game or two at least. Talk about approaching worst-case scenario...he got hurt less than 3 minutes into the game!

Let's hope the MRI is negative tomorrow.

But the Lakers are playing much, MUCH better D--at least tonight against Portland, they are fastbreaking, and they are DEEP.

I can see why Phil is adamant about playing hard every night and securing home court, which he usually doesn't worry about.

They are just so deep, everyone can play less than 30 minutes, Kobe at about 35, that they can go all out and not get too tired by taxing their starters.

Barring injury, should be a fun, fun season.

Easily the best team the Lakers have had in a long, long, time. It's not just the Kobe and Shaq show anymore. I mean the Lakers were blowing them out and Kobe had 2 points at one point.

Avoid the injuries and it should be a special season.

Yup. It's obvious they are the deepest team in the league. Remember when the Gasol trade happened? An anonymous West exec basically said that if Lamar Odom is you're 3rd option, you're a damn good team. If he's you're fourth, you're fucking good. Lamar Odom is now a backup on this team.

Radmanovic is playing like the player he should in the preseason and tonight. The logjam of players that can play small forward on this team (Radmanovic, Ariza, Odom, Bryant, Walton) has caused him to up the ante. Good to see.

Bynum didn't even play particularly well AT ALL, but Gasol is playing just as well as he did last year, if not even more impressively because he is doing it from another position.

Once the bugs get worked out, if tonight is any indicator, Kobe should see a LOT of triple doubles this season.

It didn't really even look like the Lakers were trying that hard at all. "Oh they're catching up, let's score 8 or 10 in a row and take care of that." Seemed like a pretty effortless victory. Granted Portland didn't shoot well, but the Laker defense was suffocating.

Just want to remind you all who you're trying to dethrone. Fuck the Lakers, we're looking at a Celtics repeat this year.

    See you in June.
